Flexible Loan Payment Options
Whether you prefer automatic payments or mailing a check, this article gives you an overview of your options for making your Salal loan payment. We usually recommend members set up automatic ACH payments. If automatic ACH payments aren’t the best option for you, we recommend using the Loan Payment portal in Salal digital banking.

Autopay
Cost: Free
Payment Timing: Same day or next business day (depending on time of day submitted).
The fastest and most hands-off way to pay.
How it Works:
- Download and complete the Automatic Loan Payment Authorization or Automatic Mortgage Payment Authorization form.
- Submit the form at least 3 business days before your payment is due.
- Need help? Call us at 800.562.5515 and we’ll walk you through it using Docusign.
Things to Keep in Mind:
- Payments scheduled on weekends or federal holidays post the next business day.
- If the funds for your payment are coming from another financial institution, the withdrawal (ACH debit) may not appear in the originating account until the following day.
- In order to make changes or cancel your automatic ACH payments, the relevant form needs to be completed again and submitted at least 3 business days before your next scheduled payment.
Once your automatic payments have been scheduled, you can find your payment information within digital banking. In digital banking, select Transfers & Payments, select Transfers, and then go to the Scheduled tab. If you have questions, you can send us a secure message or call us at 800.562.5515. Note: Unfortunately, automatic mortgage payment transactions and transaction histories are not available in digital banking at this time.
Pay from Salal Digital Banking
Cost: Free
Payment Timing: Same day (if before 4 p.m. PT).
Limits: $5,000 per payment when paying from a bank account, $,1000 per payment using debit card, up to 3 payments per loan in any given 30-day period. The transaction limit for ACH mortgage payments is $15,000.
A quick and easy way to make your loan payment with your checking or savings bank account (ACH) or debit card from another financial institution.
How it Works:
- Make a payment with a debit card or bank account from another financial institution via the Loan Payments tool under the Transfers tab within digital banking.

Cost: Free
Payment Timing: Same day or within 2 business days.
Limits: There are limits on transaction amounts when paying with an external bank account. More info about transaction limits can be found in the Transactions section within digital banking.
If you have a Salal checking or savings account, you can transfer funds directly to your loan from within Mobile or Online Banking.
How it Works:
- To transfer from an external account, link your external account using Instant Account Verification in digital banking.

Pay by Mail or in Person
Cost: Free
Payment Timing: Same day.
Make a payment in person with cash, check, debit card (via cash advance), or by transferring funds at:
- Any of our Salal neighborhood branches.
- One of 3,500+ Shared Branching credit unions nationwide. Find a Shared Branching location.
Cost: Free (other than the stamp).
Payment Timing: Slow (varies as dependent on USPS delivery).

One-Time Rush Payments (Fees Apply)
Cost: $9.99 per payment.
Payment Timing: Same day if submitted before 4:00 p.m. PT.
Limits: $5,000 per payment when paying from a bank account, $,1000 per payment using debit card, up to 3 payments per loan in any given 30-day period. The transaction limit for ACH mortgage payments is $15,000.
How it Works:
- No digital banking enrollment required.
- Access the online guest web payment tool to make your payment utilizing your bank account or debit card details.
Cost: $19.99 per payment.
Payment Timing: Same day if submitted before 4:00 p.m. PT.
Limits: $5,000 per payment when paying from a bank account, $,1000 per payment using debit card, up to 3 payments per loan in any given 30-day period. The transaction limit for ACH mortgage payments is $15,000.
How it Works:
- Call 800.562.5515 to make a one-time loan payment with assistance from a Salal team member.
- Live assistance is available during business hours (M–F: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Sat: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. PT).
- ACH or debit card payments only.
- Debit card must be in primary or joint account holder’s name.
